Really good tour and informative great staff and very friendly
Amazing place! Good weekend plan recommended to all
Excellent new museum experience. (Open 2 months). Gives you a good insight into the history and ethos of Super Depor.
We had a wonderful tour at Riazor stadium with lovely Patricia. She was very helpful showing us everything there is to see. Hopefully we will get back again.
Super tour with nice guides who will tell everything about the history of the club
About the stadium
The current ground replaced the old Riazor pitch, where Dépor had played since 1909. When it opened, it could hold 37,000 spectators, rising to 60,000 once standing room was included. It was first reworked for the 1982 World Cup, hosting three first-round matches, which brought capacity down to 28,000. It was then rebuilt entirely between September 1995 and August 1998: the athletics track was removed and the four stands were brought closer to the pitch.
The Dépor Museo & Tour covers both the stadium and the club museum. There are two options: a self-guided tour (from €10) and a guided tour (from €17). Allow around 1 hr 15 for the first and 1 hr 40 for the second. The guided tour takes in the museum, the pitchside, the VIP boxes, the players' tunnel, the first-team dressing room and the Street Club, before finishing at the official shop. The self-guided tour lets you explore the museum and several areas of the stadium at your own pace.
The museum has three spaces, the Sala Blanca, Sala Dorada and Sala Azul, with more than 250 items on display along with interactive and audiovisual content about the history of Deportivo. The Sala Blanca can be visited for free: it covers the development of the stadium, the Dépor supporters and the social projects run by the club's foundation. Access to the Museo & Tour is on Manuel Murguía street, under gate 4 of Abanca Riazor.
