About the stadium
The stadium is part of the OL Vallée complex, a business and leisure park that draws close to 2 million visitors a year. The facility includes 105 boxes and several VIP lounges, along with various spaces for corporate events and premium matchday experiences.
Since opening, the Groupama Stadium has staged several major events: matches at Euro 2016, the 2018 Europa League final, the 2019 Women's World Cup final and games from the 2023 Rugby World Cup.
On non-matchdays, visitors can go behind the scenes on guided tours. These are run in French, with some sessions available in English. The "Stadium Tours" are usually held on Wednesdays, at weekends and during school holidays.
Among other areas, visitors get access to the VIP lounges, the press room, the mixed zone, the dressing rooms, the players' tunnel and the edge of the pitch. Tours last between 45 minutes and 1 hour 45, depending on the option chosen. Prices generally range from around €20 for the shortest options to nearly €40 for the VIP tours.
The visit can be rounded off with OL Le Musée, a 1,300 m² museum spread over two floors. The displays cover more than 70 years of Olympique Lyonnais history through trophies, shirts, archive material and interactive features devoted to the great moments of the Rhône club.

The stadium is really well built, access from Lyon center was easy and we'll organized by tram. The access to the concert was easy, plenty of food and drinks options outside and inside the stadium. Sound quality was not the best but for a stadium it was definitely on my top experiences. Toilets were clean, and overall stadium had enough bins so it was quite clean. Maybe one thing I would say is that drinks are a bit expensive
Great stadium with excellent facilities, it's a bit far out from Lyon centre, but worth the trip. The fans are incredible and the atmosphere is amazing. Lyonnais est fantastique
To be honest I am not a football fun, but I enjoyed the match OL- Stade Rennais so much. I really can’t forget that atmosphere that makes me so excited.
I had a great time in the soccer game PSG X Lyon. It was my first time in a Stadium in France and I loved it. Before the game there were activities where you could win this player card, chocolate and the OL sticker.
Stadium tour in English. It was really cozy, friendly tour - less commerical than the UK stadium tours. Massive credit to our guide Thibaut, whose English was exceptional and his know of OL, the team, the stadium, the history was first class. Also the guy in the museum was so friendly and knowledgeable. A really great few hours.
Just like most sporting stadiums, easy to navigate, stewards helpful and friendly - the only people that seem to struggle are the ones who can't read the ticket they bought. It tells you the letter area, block code, row number and seat number. Use this and you'll be good. My only insight is that the row numbers are on like the step level of the actual seat, rather than printed on the step itself, we found it easy but its amazing just how many didn't seem to look, but I suppose it's a bit different looking for empty seats among crowds and trying to upset as few a people as possible
We visited the stadium twice for Olympic group matches. It was really easy to navigate the stadium and find our seats. The seats are comfortable enough and I was surprised by how much legroom there was. The stadium experience would be enhanced with more attention to the women’s bathrooms. But I also recognize there are a lot of people using the facilities, and it may be hard to keep them stocked with tissue and soap. Public transportation was available and made the trip to the stadium comfortable and stress-free.
Watched a World Cup rugby match here. It is a modern stadium that is surprisingly clean. The stadium’s design is easy to navigate. Crowd control after the match was organized and secure. We walked in time released blocks to the tram. This prevented over crowding the tram lines. Police and security staff were friendly and helpful. A stadium staff member gave my daughter a game pin as we were slowly leaving the stadium. Very adorable, made us all smile.
