About the stadium
Opened in 1999 for the World University Games, Son Moix has since become the home ground of RCD Mallorca. Located about 3 km from central Palma and roughly 15 km from the airport (PMI), it is the largest stadium in the Balearic Islands.
For many years defined by its athletics track, the ground was completely rebuilt between 2022 and 2024: the track was removed, the stands were brought closer to the pitch, new sections were added behind both goals, all seats were replaced, and a new roof and hospitality areas were installed. The result is a more compact, louder arena with an official capacity of around 26,000 seats. In short, a proper Liga atmosphere.
The stadium has 4 stands (East, West, Fondo Norte and Fondo Sur) with modern facilities throughout: a press area, VIP spaces, and renovated access tunnels. The complex also includes a sports bar, an official club shop, and a sports clinic.
On match nights, buses run between central Palma and the stadium, which sits in the Ca'n Valero industrial zone. Drivers will find ample public parking nearby. In the stands, the atmosphere is driven by L'INFERN1916, the club's official supporters' group.
The guided tour lasts about an hour and covers the behind-the-scenes areas of the Mallorcan club: dressing rooms, the tunnel, the pitchside area, and the press room. Tours run several days a week at set times, generally late morning (11am, 12pm) and afternoon (4pm, 5pm). Prices are around €16–18 for adults and €10–12 for children aged 5 to 14; entry is free for under-5s. The meeting point is at gate 9.
