About the stadium
Philips Stadion, located on Frederiklaan in central Eindhoven, is one of the main venues in Dutch football. Opened in 1913 on the very site where Philips founded its company club, it expanded alongside PSV to reach its current capacity of 35,000 seats. Compact and fully enclosed, it has a distinctly "English" atmosphere, with stands close to the pitch.
The stadium is also notable for its central location, less than a 10-minute walk from the train station and city centre. Inside, four clearly defined stands make up the bowl: the Noordtribune, home to the ultras; the Oosttribune and Zuidtribune, popular with local supporters; and the Westtribune, which houses the VIP areas, executive boxes, and media facilities.
Selected as a host venue for Euro 2000, Philips Stadion went through several rounds of expansion and modernisation between the late 1980s and early 2000s to meet UEFA standards. More recently, PSV completed a full renovation of the dressing rooms and players' tunnel, and opened a new Executive Floor for partners and hospitality use.
A 75-minute guided tour takes visitors behind the scenes at PSV, including the pitchside, dressing rooms, players' tunnel, and other areas normally off-limits to the public. The ticket also includes entry to the PSV Museum, which brings together the club's major trophies, historical artefacts, rare photographs, and archival material tracing the history of the Boeren and the players who left their mark on the club, among them Romário, Ronaldo, and Ruud van Nistelrooy.
PSV Stadium Tours run Monday to Saturday, subject to stadium and guide availability. Admission is €21 for adults and €18.50 for children aged 4 to 14.
