About the stadium

El Sadar is Osasuna's stadium, located in the south of Pamplona in the Foral Community of Navarre. It opened in 1967 to replace the old San Juan ground, takes its name from the nearby Sadar river, and was briefly known as Reyno de Navarra between 2005 and 2011.

Between 2019 and 2021, the stadium underwent a major overhaul based on a project voted on by the socios. The structure itself was kept, but everything else changed: the corners were closed in, a new roof installed, seating replaced, VIP areas added, and circulation throughout the stands improved.

With around 23,500 seats, stands set close to the pitch, and a supporters' wall behind one of the goals, El Sadar is a loud, vertical ground that opposition sides (particularly those near the top of the table) consistently find uncomfortable to visit.

The renovation, which extended to glass balustrades and LED lighting throughout, earned El Sadar the title of "Stadium of the Year" in 2021 from specialist site StadiumDB. For visiting fans, this translates into better catering, improved facilities, wheelchair access, and clear sightlines from every seat, without losing the rough, partisan atmosphere Osasuna is known for.

Interactive guided tours are also available, covering the dressing rooms, pitchside areas, executive boxes, and behind-the-scenes spaces, with a VR experience that puts you in the middle of a matchday crowd alongside the Rojillos.
