About the stadium
Designed by the architecture firm Cruz y Ortiz, the Metropolitano combines modern design, comfort and sustainability. Some 96% of the seats are covered, the all-LED lighting allows for striking light shows, and solar panels cut the venue's energy use.
The stadium has been the backdrop for Atlético's recent successes, driven by well-known players such as Antoine Griezmann, Koke and Jan Oblak. It also hosted the 2019 Champions League final between Tottenham and Liverpool.
The stadium sits in the San Blas-Canillejas district in eastern Madrid. It is easy to reach by metro (line 7, Estadio Metropolitano station) and served by several bus routes. On matchdays, the atmosphere is carried by the chants of the Colchoneros and the motto “Coraje y Corazón”, making it one of the most electric grounds in Europe.

My son, a big Atletico Madrid fan, got this tour and the subsequent match for his 18th birthday. He and I were thrilled. The stadium is beautiful, the tour was perfect. The best evaluation for you and me was his shining eyes. Thank you very much.
Riyadh Air Metropolitano is an impressive stadium with a modern design, excellent facilities, and an incredible atmosphere on match days. The organization is very efficient, with easy access, comfortable seating, and great visibility from every section. Whether you are attending a football match, concert, or special event, the experience is exciting and well managed. The energy from the fans makes it unforgettable, and the surrounding area offers plenty of options for food and entertainment. A must-visit venue for sports and event lovers in Madrid.
Great experience and definitely a must-visit for every football fan. It was really interesting to learn more about the club’s history, see all the trophies, and experience the interactive exhibitions. Everything was well organised and enjoyable, even for people who are not huge football experts. You can really feel the pride and passion behind the club
Visiting from England. We did the tour following attending a champions league game earlier in the week. A great tour of incredible facilities. A must do if you are visiting Madrid. Thank you Leo, our multi lingual guide was amazing. Our favourite stadium in the area. 😉
Love the location of this stadium away from the busy Madrid city life!!! I did the tour before tonight’s champs league match which I’m going too!! Can’t wait!! What amazing stadium and history of this footy club!! Plus I enjoyed this tour to Real Madrid because it was less strict!! The reason why I did not give this stadium tour a 5 star rating is because the toilet situation that is the only flaw of this tour
