About the stadium
Opened in 2006, Emirates Stadium is the home ground of Arsenal, located in Holloway, north London. With a capacity of over 60,000 seats, it is one of the largest and most modern stadiums in England. Built to replace Highbury, its predecessor, the ground combines contemporary architecture with premium comfort.
Rated a UEFA four-star stadium, Emirates regularly hosts Premier League and Champions League fixtures. The pitch, considered among the best-kept in the world, is enclosed by fully covered stands that provide clear sightlines throughout.
The complex includes numerous VIP areas, among them the Club Level and the Diamond Club, alongside a wide range of bars and restaurants that make a visit more than just a matchday experience. Outside, visitors can see statues of Thierry Henry, Tony Adams and Dennis Bergkamp, and walk along the Walk of Fame, which traces the club's major moments.
The Emirates Stadium Tour takes visitors behind the scenes: the players' tunnel, changing rooms, press room and the Gunners museum, which holds trophies and historical artefacts. Audio guides are available in several languages, including French.
The stadium is straightforward to reach by Underground (stations Arsenal, Holloway Road or Finsbury Park) and several bus routes. The surrounding streets are well stocked with traditional London pubs and restaurants for those looking to extend the day.
